A carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to a partner, child, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without their help. This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability.

The Carers Network is a new website that has been created to enable Carers to easily access up-to-date information on services across the city.

The website has been designed to be navigated easily, enabling Carers to go directly to the information that they want and need.

To ensure that the information is always current and correct, it is maintained by the service providers themselves and contains ‘only’ the information that is relevant to Carers. Each page also gives Carers the opportunity to find out more by providing useful links to help Carers to venture into the World Wide Web for additional information if they would like to find out more.

Please note that The Carers Network is in its infancy and information will be limited while we continue to build the network – if there is information that you would like to see or place on The Carers Network, please contact us 0121 675 8161 or email info@openingdoorsforcarers.org.uk or visit The Carers Network and use the online form.
